Why I Started My Farm for My Kids

I started this farm because I wanted something more for my children—more than the distractions of modern life, more than just the everyday hustle. I wanted them to experience the kind of life where they can see the fruits of their labor, feel the soil beneath their feet, and understand what it truly means to care for something. I wanted them to grow up knowing that food doesn’t just appear on a shelf but takes work, love, and a deep respect for the land and animals that provide it.

There’s something beautiful about passing down knowledge that has been around for generations. I want my kids to know the value of patience, hard work, and compassion.

When they feed the animals, when they plant a seed, when they see the result of their effort—it’s a moment of pride, but also a reminder of how connected we are to everything around us. This farm is their classroom, their playground, and their connection to something real, something tangible.

But more than anything, I want them to grow up with a sense of purpose. To know that what they do here matters, that they’re part of something bigger than themselves.

Why I Raise Animals Ethically

Raising animals ethically is something I hold close to my heart. To me, it’s not just about making sure they’re healthy or that they provide us with food—it’s about giving them the life they deserve. I want to raise them in a way that reflects the love and care I hope my kids will carry with them throughout their lives.

There’s a quiet joy in seeing the animals roam freely, hearing them graze, and watching them interact with each other. They have space to be themselves. They’re not stressed; they’re not confined. They are part of this farm just as much as the plants, the earth, and the people who care for them.
